Reiki: Restoring Flow, Reconnecting to Self
A Note from Christine
There’s something sacred about slowing down enough to truly listen—to your breath, to your body, to the quiet wisdom within. Reiki is one of my favorite ways to create that pause. It’s subtle, powerful, and deeply nourishing. I’ve seen firsthand how this gentle practice can melt stress, open the heart, and bring people back into alignment with who they really are. Whether you're navigating a transition, seeking clarity, or simply craving a moment of stillness, Reiki offers a safe and loving space to return to yourself. I’d be honored to hold that space for you.
A Gentle Touch of Healing Energy
Reiki is a deeply nurturing Japanese healing practice that works with your body’s natural energy system to restore balance on every level—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. The word Reiki combines two Japanese words: Re meaning “universal” and Ki meaning “life force energy.”
This universal energy flows through all of us, but life can create blockages—stress, overwhelm, or unresolved emotions—that disrupt this flow and leave us feeling depleted, stuck, or out of alignment. Reiki offers a gentle, powerful way to clear those blockages and invite a return to harmony.
What to Expect in a Session
Your session begins with an invitation to slow down. You’ll remain fully clothed and rest comfortably on a massage table while I place my hands lightly on or just above your body. With intention and presence, I act as a channel for universal life force energy to flow where it’s needed most.
Clients often describe Reiki as a warm, calming wave moving through them, melting away tension and bringing a deep sense of peace. Others feel subtle tingles, emotions releasing, or simply a profound quieting of the mind. There’s no “right” way to experience Reiki—your body and spirit receive exactly what they need.
Even if you’ve never tried energy work or aren’t sure what to expect, Reiki doesn’t require belief or effort. It’s a practice of simply receiving.
The Benefits of Reiki
Reiki can stand alone as a healing practice or complement other modalities like massage therapy or coaching. Many clients notice:
A noticeable reduction in stress or anxiety
Activation of the parasympathetic nervous system (your body’s natural rest-and-repair mode)
Deeper, more restorative sleep
A boost in energy and improved mood
Gentle clearing of stuck or unwanted energy
A sense of clarity, grounding, and inner calm
Think of Reiki as both a reset and a renewal—a chance to return home to yourself.
Why I Love Offering Reiki
For me, Reiki is more than a technique—it’s a sacred practice of holding space for the body’s innate wisdom to come forward. Every session feels like an invitation to reconnect with your own life force, your own truth, and your own capacity to heal. I consider it an honor to guide you in this quiet, powerful work.
